AML & KYC Policy
Last Updated: April 8, 2025
At Rainbet, creating a secure and transparent gaming environment is fundamental to everything we do. This policy explains our commitment to preventing illegal activities like money laundering and our process for verifying player identity (Know Your Customer - KYC). These measures protect our entire community and ensure we operate in full compliance with international standards.
Rainbet.com is operated by RBGAMING N.V. (Company Registration: 163051), with its registered office at Zuikertuintjeweg (Zuikertuin Tower), Willemstad, Curaçao.
Our Commitment to a Secure Platform
Our goal is to provide a safe platform where you can enjoy our games with confidence. To achieve this, we strictly adhere to international laws and regulations designed to combat financial crime. Our framework is built on the highest standards, including EU Directives (such as 6AMLD), the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations, and GDPR for data protection. This robust approach ensures the integrity of our financial systems and protects our players from harm.
Verifying Your Identity (Know Your Customer - KYC)
To comply with legal requirements and ensure the security of your account, we must verify the identity of our players. This is a standard process known as Know Your Customer (KYC). We have made it as straightforward as possible. You may be asked to provide the following:
- Government-Issued ID: A clear, unedited photo of your valid passport, national ID card, or driver's license. For security, we will ask for a selfie of you holding the ID next to your face, along with a handwritten note displaying 6 randomly generated numbers provided by us.
- Proof of Address: We first attempt to verify your address electronically. If this is unsuccessful, we will require a clear image of a recent document (dated within the last 3 months), such as a utility bill, bank statement, or official government letter.
- Source of Funds (SoF): In certain situations, we may be legally required to ask for documentation that shows the origin of your funds. This is a standard procedure to ensure all transactions are legitimate.
How We Monitor for a Safe Environment
To protect all players, we employ a sophisticated, multi-layered monitoring system to detect and prevent any unusual or suspicious activity. Our system works in three layers:
- Automated Monitoring: Our intelligent systems run 24/7, flagging irregularities such as unusual deposit patterns or significant changes in account behaviour.
- Expert Review: Alerts from our automated system are immediately reviewed by our trained anti-money laundering specialists.
- Manual Audits: For higher-risk accounts or complex cases, our team conducts in-depth manual audits to ensure everything is in order.
Any activity deemed suspicious is escalated to our Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) and may be reported to the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as required by law.
Data Protection and Your Privacy
We are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All the documents and data you provide are stored with the highest level of security, using encryption and offline storage methods. Your personal information will never be shared with third parties unless we are legally obligated to do so for an official investigation. In line with regulatory requirements, KYC and transaction records are securely retained for 10 years after an account is closed.
Our Internal Commitment
Our dedication to security is company-wide. An appointed AMLCO oversees our entire compliance framework, and all our employees receive mandatory, ongoing training on AML and security protocols. This ensures our team is always equipped with the latest knowledge to keep our platform safe.
